Mince Pienut Shortbread Bars

Method
Preheat your oven to 180C/160 fan. To make your shortbread base, put the flour, sugar and butter in a bowl and rub together with your fingers until they resemble breadcrumbs. Halfway through, add the zest of 1 orange and then mix until well combined.
Tip into a baking pan and pat down well to make a compact base and even layer of biscuit. Bake for 20 mins and then set aside to cool.
To make your streusel, add all the ingredients except the butter to a bowl and mix. Pour over melted butter and mix together with a fork until lumpy. Don’t overmix otherwise you’ll create a paste rather than crumbly bits.
Once the biscuit base has cooled, top with 1 jar of ManiLife Mince Pienut and spread evenly across the base. Top with streusel and bake for a further 15 mins. .
Leave to cool, slice and enjoy.
